Apprenticeship Programme
Our Apprenticeship programme follows a national framework developed with employers. This ensures you obtain the skills and knowledge that are recognised by them and allows you to develop transferable skills within your chosen occupational area.
Training and assessment will be carried out in the workplace and may include attending Leek College on day release.
The ICT Apprenticeship includes:
- Application of Number and Communication
- A choice between ITQ (IT User Levels 2 & 3), IT Practitioner (Level 2), IT Professional (Level 3). There are minimal mandatory units with a wide range of optional units available to suit your job role
- Underpinning knowledge of theory delivered via day release following either a BTEC National Award or the Foundation Degree in Computing
- Practical application in your vocational environment
Career Prospects
By completing this Apprenticeship programme you will have the opportunity to gain one of the following occupations within the ICT industry: IT Operations Technician End User Support Helpdesk Administrator Field Engineer Network Technician
Salary
Negotiable with the employer and is based on Government guidelines
