  • Craig Goldstraw - Bench Joinery Apprenticeship

    A week’s work experience set teenager Craig Goldstraw on the path to a successful future after he applied to a centuries-old Ashbourne firm of joiners and funeral directors.

    Now, at the tender age of 18, thanks to training from Skillsbase, Craig has completed a two-year Apprenticeship in bench joinery which he knows will open doors for him.

    Always keen on woodwork, Craig got a top grade in the subject at Ashbourne’s Queen Elizabeth Grammar School. He knew just the place for his work experience – for H Lee and Son, which dates back to the 1700s is not far from his home in Park Avenue, Ashbourne.
